BURNOUT LEGENDS Review

High intesity racing, adrenaline fueled crashes, and total anarchy. Yes, I am talking about Burnout Legends for the PSP. In this game, you get all the awesome tracks from Burnout 1, 2, and 3. There is so much stuff to do in the game that it is unimaginable. World Tour is a mode where you race through all the best burner locations and amass Global Burnout Points. In this you also unlock car after car and track after track. It seemed that while I was playing, everytime I finished a race, I unlocked something new. The game modes include: Race, Time Attack, Road Rage, Pursuit, Face-Off, Legend Face-Off, Eliminator, Burning Lap, and Grand Prix. All of these modes are sure to keep you entertained for a long time. The most important mode, that Burnout is most known for is the Crash Events. The Crash Events is where you must try your hardest to create the biggest crashes you can. Your goal is to hit all the cars you can and get all the pick-ups around the map to end up with as much cash as you can. Besides single player, there is also a ton of multiplayer events. Not only can you play Ad Hoc, but you can also do game sharing which will allow to PSP's to play one game. THis is really cool because you can also upload a demo of the game to a nearby friend. It is a really cool feature to have. I have a few complains and that is that the load times are some of the longest on the PSP, sometimes over 45 seconds. Graphically, the game also has o.k. graphics for a hanheld but there are random ugly pixels everywhere. It can be really annoying sometimes. I gotta give this game a 7/10!

THE GOOD:

1. Lots Of Unlockables

2. Great Multiplayer Events

3. Feels Like Console Version

THE BAD

1. Ridiculous Load Times

2. Pixelated Graphics

3. No Customizations

NFL STREET 2: UNLEASHED Review

Now I finnaly am reviewing one of my all time favorite PSP games out today, NFL Street 2: Unleashed. I know, your probably thinking "Oh great, another port" and I wish I could tell you different, but it is in fact another port. In this version of the game there is: Own The City mode, where you draft random people and make a team to take over the city. Then there is NFL Challenge, which is where you build up a team and go through tons of pain staking challenges for points. NFL Gauntlet is another great mode. You choose a NFL team and must play through all of the other NFL teams to win. Other than these game modes, the PSP version has 3 exclusive game modes. There is Street Slalom, Style Standoff, and Style Point Challenge. Not only are there just some exclusive game modes, but you can also play as all the superstars and the legends. EA has also added more throwback gear to the game so that it would not be the same game as on consoles. The game has 5 cool wireless AD HOC play modes and 7 really cool party play modes, which lets multiple people play the game on a single PSP. Graphically, the game is good but not as good as some titles that are out now. The soundtrack on the game is great and filled with urban hip-hop and alternative rock that keeps you tapping your feet. The game is very easy to get in and out of and is just very entertaining. The replay value on this game is really high because there is so much to be unlocked that it takes forever to finish this game.
Like I said it is still one of my favorite games and I continue to enjoy it. I give it a 9/10.

INFECTED review

Infected is a all new exclusive game for the PSP. It is a third person shoot-em-up game that is based in New York during Christmas. In the campaign mode, it is Christamas and a rare mutant virus breaks out in the city. All of the citizens become crazy flesh eating disease and it is your job to destroy them. Your blood is the anti-virus and it is the only way to destroy them. The engine for the game is a all new feature because not only do you have to kill all the zombies with normal weaponry, but once you get there health low you must use a special gun that is connected to your veins to shoot the anti-virus (your blood) and rid the city of evil. Aside from campaign mode, you can also play this game on infrastructure (online play). The online feature is very creative because everyone has there own customizable avatar and when you play any online mode and win, you actually infect your opponents psp with your avatar and the only way for them to rid there psp from your virus is to either play the campaign missions that they show up in, or beat three people in online play. This game looks really good for a PSP game and does great with all the intense explosions and blood squirting everywhere on the screen. It does not usually slow down with all the characters exploding on the screen, but it will sometimes, and you probably wont care due to all the fun. The games story mode does not take very long to beat and this is the only problem with the game. Overall if you like action packed games with non stop enjoyment i say BUY it. I give it a 8/10.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix Review

This is the review for Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix for the PSP. This game is almost exactly the same as the console version. In this game, you are picked up by the World Destruction Tour. In the story, you go level by level causing havoc through each city. There is alot of content in this for a psp game. You get every mission that you had in the console version and you can still destroy each city. There are also 4 exclusive levels on the PSP version. There is also Classic mode, which is based off the older Tony Hawk Games, Wifi Play which is very imporatant in a PSP game, High Score/Free Skate, And tons of Create-a-Modes. This game is very deep in detail when it comes to creating a character. You can also create goals, graphics, and even tricks. This game also has great load times, which is suprising due to all of the content.
So now that you have heard the good, let me tell you the bad points. My biggest hate in the game is the controls. You have to use the ridiculous D-pad to do tricks on board and you only get to use the analod nub to switch into focus mode or when on foot. Anyone who has ever played a PSP knows that the D-Pad isn't the greatest. When trying to do any flip trick or grab or grind in this game that requires using the D-Pad such as 360 flips or Crook-grinds, there is a chance it could take forever to get the trick. It just doesn't make sense that the controls aren't sensitive. You cannot edit the controls at all. There is only one more bad point, and that is the glitching. When you do a double kickflip in this game on the second rotation the board will freeze or go in slow-mo. It sucks when you have to land that trick in a mission and it does not work. There are also moments in the games where your feet will be in the ground and crap. Just wierd stuff.
In the end, it is a very entertaining game and has a very good replay value due to all the unlockables and hillarious story. I give this game a 7/10!
